Every Movie Available From Netflix On Demand
This was a runaway favorite, because I don’t think there’s any other way out there to get an easy to read list of Netflix’s On-demand offerings.

Got Cowbell Fever? Here’s The 180+ Track Cure
I have a cowbell addiction. So what? It’s a very common ailment in my family. This was a labor of love to compile this FineTune playlist, so if you have the fever, tune in for your prescription.

Better Blogroll Widget For Wordpress
This plugin is easily the most popular one that I’ve written, and this update added more flexibility to which categories are displayed or hidden.

The Quest For Every Beard Type
Beards are always popular around here (with me, anyway), and my quest to complete every beard type has been going on for years. Here are 19 of 33 types that I’ve completed and photographed because there’s probably something wrong with me.

Good Netflix Watch Now Additions For March 5
Every few weeks I compile a list of good additions to the Netflix Watch Instantly service. I don’t know why this particular one was so popular, but maybe I can thank Kevin Smith.

What Would You Do If You Didn’t Have To Work?
Everyone came up with some good ideas on what they’d do if they didn’t have to work, and I really need to compile the list to see if we can get some of you to your goals. If you didn’t throw in your two cents, there’s still time.

Please Don’t Try To Hump The Virtual Assistant A friend of mine works in speech recognition, and he sometimes sends me robots to mess with. And mess with them I do.

LOLWars and LOLTrek
I was looking at some LOLCats, and really wished that there were LOLCreatures themed around Star Wars, so I made one. Then I got carried away and added one for Star Trek. Luckily #1GF! came home and stopped me from going any further.

Life of Riley Week 42 I have no idea why this particular Life of Riley post was so popular, other than the fact that it was the week that #1GF! forbid me from getting a job. The comment has since been retracted and even denied by said #1GF!. I smell a conspiracy.

FineTune Friday: Science Fiction Edition All the geeks rallied and squeezed this post into the top 10 this month. And why shouldn’t they? Who wouldn’t want to listen to a bunch of free science fiction based playlists? Probably the Jocks.

From quitting my job, to buying a house, to attempting to make this blog a paying gig, this has been a great year for me. On the digital side of my life, I’ve been lucky enough to correspond with some great people, and I’ve been getting absolutely buried with traffic.

Here are my top 25 posts from 2007. Surprisingly, almost every one of them was written after I quit my corporate gig to blog full time. I don’t know if that’s a result of more traffic or better writing. You’ll have to let me know if your favorite made the list.

I really can’t thank you enough for stopping by, and I hope your year was twice as good.

Happy New Year, everyone!

The Top 10 of 2007

The Beard FAQ
This FAQ was intended to get men off the fence about growing a beard. This post absolutely blew up in 2007, making this the year of the beard.

My Favorite Yard Game: How To Play Kubb
I was introduced to Kubb on a trip to Sweden years ago, and we play the game on the beach every summer. The instructions can seem complicated, so I made some Ikea-like instructions for the game. Study the rules and we’ll see you on the beach this summer.

How To Make A Ringtone From Your Favorite Song
With companies charging up to $3 for a small snippet of a song, how can you afford not to read this article? The instructions are simple, the program to do it is free, and it takes less than 15 minutes.

10 Tips To Get You Started With Google Sketchup
Sketchup is a free 3-D rendering program that I used to plan upgrades to our house. It’s a great program, but there are a few gotchas that this article will help you to get around.

Make Your Own Kubb Set For Dirt Cheap
I gave you the rules, so here’s how to build a set of your own. This article was my first traffic explosion of the year thanks to a little link from Make Magazine.

The Secret Lives Of Stormtroopers
This is a collection of the funniest Stormtrooper photos I could find on flickr. Most people (like Danny Choo) were fine with being linked, but one cock head threatened to bill and then sue me for linking to him without express written permission. It was a fair amount of bullying that ended with a discussion of US copyright law. This was the first time that someone threatened to sue me.

How To Piss Me Off With Your Blog
This has an inflammatory title, but it’s really a constructive article on how to improve your blog and make it more readable. You don’t piss me off. I’m a liar.

Three Free Multi Protocol Instant Messengers You Should Know About
There’s no real need to use multiple IM programs to chat on different services (Yahoo, MSN, AIM, etc.) when you can use a single program to talk on them all. I narrowed all the downloadable multi-protocol clients I could find into a field of three and then reviewed them to make choosing one easier.

44 Ways To Enjoy The Super Mario Brothers Theme
I had to stop at 44 ways because I found that I couldn’t get the tune out of my head. The list includes a top 10 and I even went so far as to list the instruments alphabetically. Posts like this convince me that there is something wrong with me.

Free As In Beer E Mail Subscription Icons
We all get a lot of free stuff from the internet, and I wanted to give a little something back so I created a free icon set for e-mail subscriptions that looks like the standard RSS icon. I still owe the internet, but I thought it was a good start.

The Next 17

Better Blogroll Widget For WordPress
I wrote the Better Blogroll Widget for WordPress and came out with a few revisions because I was unhappy with the way that WordPress handles blogrolls. This WordPress plugin creates the ability for a blog owner to display a random, rotating list of links or use picture links if they wish. WordPress is free and so is this plugin.

66 Free Fonts For Halloween
It’s free scary fonts broken up by category. And there’s 66 of them because I’m so satanic. Oooh. Look at scary man and his free fonts.

Life Of Riley Week 23
Every week I chronicle my activities since I walked away from TPS reports and grey cubes and into a world of being a digital hobo. Why this particular week made the top 25 list is beyond me. It doesn’t seem out of the ordinary.

The Real Reason Your Blog Needs A Niche
The lack of a niche almost seems to guarantee that personal bloggers will never make money from their personal sites. Unfortunately, no one ever mentions why. Here’s the reason.

Why Arent You On Facebook Yet Grampy
If you look at my contact page, you’ll see that I’m on a ton of social networks. Facebook is on that list and very good for keeping digital tabs on your contacts. It’s more fun than LinkedIn, but a little more mature than MySpace.

Wordpress Tip: How To Change The Number Of Drafts Shown In Your Admin Panel
I write a lot of drafts, so I put together this hack so that I wouldn’t have to scroll through 8 pages to see them all. This is how you can change it.

7 Things To Do When Youre Naked
This was my response to the American Association of Nude Recreation’s list of the top things to do while naked. I think if you have the audacity to walk around with your junk hanging out, you should be able to give some better suggestions to get people involved.

Free Windows Tool Auslogics Disk Defrag
I love free software, and this free defragmentation tool is faster than the version that comes with Windows. If you don’t know what fragmentation is, this article explains what it is in simple terms.

Get Mcafee Virus Protection For Free
I’ve used McAfee for a long, long time in both corporate and personal environments and I won’t knock them. This is how to get McAfee VirusScan legally for free. I love free.

The Top 10 Music Inspiring Horror Movies In The Public Domain
The Misfits and others have used old horror movies as inspiration for songs, and a lot of those movies have fallen into the public domain. Because they’ve fallen out of copyright, you can legally download them for free.

2 Girls 1 Cup: The Goatse Of A New Generation
This link is work safe, but please don’t click it. You’ll have questions and want to know what 2 girls, 1 cup is. Then you’ll search for it and blame me once you see it. There’s only so much wrong you can pack into a single video, so just forget I said anything and go on with your life.

Ultimate Showdown Stormtroopers Vs Ninjas
Who would win in a fight: A Stormtrooper or a Ninja? I think if you go through this article you’ll find yourself wondering how and why I compiled so much information about Stormtroopers and Ninjas. If you have an answer, definitely let me know because I’m a little afraid to think about it.

Are Blog Comments A Privilege Or A Right
A reader was upset with having his comment deleted, so the answer was left in the hands of the readers.

Replayable Web Game Gimme Friction Baby
A lot of people have taken to this game more than the other replayable games that I’ve featured. It’s the only game that was popular enough to crack the top 25, probably due to its unique gameplay.

Want More Traffic For Your Blog Stumble Into It
If you’re looking for good traffic for your blog, I highly suggest getting involved in the StumbleUpon community. The traffic is sticky and there is a lot of it. Not to mention that it’s a good amount of fun. This article should get you started on the road to more traffic.
