Congratulations! After reading about the robot on your LOR posts, I can't wait to read about the latest bebe adventures.

As far as the missing data posts go, I was figuring that it was just some geek code for "I can't for the life of me remember what the heck happened between these two paragraphs."

Congratulations to you and #1GF!!!! Your Mom and Dad are going to be the greatest grandparents. Your father actually watched my middle son when my mother was sick...he was great with him. When I get a chance, I'll type my official list of unsolicited advice/experiences for you.

CONGRATULATIONS! And it's a mind-blowing experience. Lots of fun, lots of no-sleep. And if you want, Parenthacks (www.parenthacks.com) and Ask Moxie (www.askmoxie.org) are good for advice.

Big thoughts right now:

1. Don't sweat it. The odds are in your favor. And babies bounce. Someday I'll write about how many falls my kid has had and she's a pretty damn good kid.

2. Armin A. Brott (www.mrdad.com) has great parenting advice. I prefer him over the What to Expect books because those started to freak me out after awhile with all the paranoia talk.

3. Get lots of sleep. Make sure #1GF gets lots of rest when the baby comes. The lack of sleep is one big contributor to the baby blues.

4. Welcome to chaos. When parents told me that I wasn't fully prepared, I was like "yeah, yeah..." BUT THEY'RE RIGHT. Nothing will go the way you think it will and that sometimes is a very good thing.

5. Make sure you take the time to tell #1GF that you love her and take care of her when the baby comes. I learned the hard way that a baby is like a live hand grenade -- it takes out EVERYTHING. I remember a lot of moms and dads (myself included) having a hard time with their relationship once the kid arrived. If you can get the grandparents to give you a date night on occasion, DO IT. DO IT. You do have to remember why the hell you decided to have a baby in the first place.

I never read week 83. I haven't been on the web much lately. 83-580A* blows my mind. Congratulations. I think that puts a few other things in perspective on your blog.
