Need something to watch this Halloween but you don’t have Netflix? I’ve got you covered. Here are 10 public domain classic movies that are available to (legally) download and watch for free. They range from bad to pretty bad, but bad horror movies are part of what Halloween is all about.

Family members are killed off one by one over the family inheritance. This was Francis Ford Coppola’s directorial debut.

- The Terror (1963)

Two newlyweds and their lawyer go scuba diving in Puerto Rico, and when they resurface, they find their is no oxygen to breath and everyone on the island, and possibly the world, is dead.

- Bloody Pit of Horror (1965)
A retired actor is posessed by an evil spirit known as “The Crimson Executioner”. The spirit punishes a photographer and some models who sneak into the castle for a photo shoot.

- Scared to Death (1947)
This was one of only a couple of horror films starring Bela Lugosi that was filmed in color. It’s the story of a woman who was, you guessed it, literally scared to death.

- The Corpse Vanishes (1942)
Bella Lugosi plays a mad scientist who must extract fluids from young virgins to keep his aging wife alive.

- The Brain That Wouldn’t Die (1962)
A doctor keeps his girlfriend’s head alive after he decapitates her in a car crash. Like a typical man, he tries to find her another body among hookers and strippers. Like a typical woman, she tries to get the lab’s resident mutant to kill him.

- Atom Age Vampire (1960)
A brilliant scientist develops a treatment that restores the good looks of a singer who was horribly disfigured in a car accident. Unfortunately, continued treatments require that he murder women to get their glands

The title is really self-explanatory.

Two newlyweds go to a mansion where the husband’s first wife died from a mysterious freak accident. The wife begins to see a mysterious skull.
