Super Mario Played With RC Car And Bottles
If you can hear the Super Mario theme and feel like you’re home, then two things are true: you’re old and you’re a geek. Yesterday, while watching Attack of the Show, I saw a video of a radio controlled car playing the Super Mario Brothers Theme and thought it was awesome enough to add to my list of 44 Ways to Enjoy the Super Mario Theme.
After watching it a few times, I’m not so sure that I should’ve included it. The tones of the bottles during the test runs at the beginning of the video really don’t match with the tones when the theme is playing, making it seem like it might be a hoax.
What do you think? Is this a fake?

I think it’s legit. It definitely took some major tweaking, and perhaps the person who did the video just wasn’t very good at editing.
The clips at the beginning could have been run number one - before they had a chance to modify the tones.
Awesome video and concept regardless.

I does not suprise me that someone worked that out so I am going for the It’s Real side.
My GF thinks otherwise though! Amazing.

I agree with n0ia, it seems like the beginning was testing out the method before they tweaked things. It’s totally possible that the tones were completely off because the bottles were empty at the beginning. Usually the easiest way to change the tone of a bottle is to have various amounts of liquid in it, which in turn would make it more stable in this instance. The bottles in the beginning were obviously empty as I didn’t see anything pouring out when they fell over. That may have only been a test for the car not for the bottles and sound. But then again it might be a completely convincing concept that we all really want to be true and thus are looking for ways that it is, lol. Yeah geek all the way.
