I love your “Life of Riley” personal notes. I once commented that I felt kind of sneaky, like I had stumbled upon someone’s diary and began reading it. (Which I would never do, but always wanted to). Your personal notes give the readers an opportunity to basically take a sneak peek without sneaking. Your take on everyday experiences usually leaves me laughing, and more times than not, loosing myself in hours of reading that was not planned on.

…oh and it’s also about your observations of life…seen through your particular lens. We each see it different. Many ignore what goes on around them. You sometimes remind us what’s there…funny, stupid, whatever, but most of the time you seem to do it with a positive attitude. Even after all the negative crap that happens you’re looking for the good in things and pointing them out more often then the negative things. Did you know you were an optomist?

I am generally a person that has little opinion. I recall trying to define your site to someone and I really couldn’t. It’s about his life…its about music…its about pop culture.. wait I think I said that to you. In all honesty, I’ve always loved the stuff about your life…especially when I could be part of the source material. I miss working with you.

I also love the crazy stupid stuff like the Beard Page. I can identify with it and enjoy participating. I’ve never really been into video games. I like your music reviews because you’ll review just about anything anyone calls music.

What I think you really need right now though is…..wait for it….

ROAD TRIP!!!

Dyers.org goes on the road. Perhaps become a carny and examine life from that perspective.

Think of it like that old move National Lampoons Vacation, but with you as the star….and you have to get to Wally World!!!!!

I have to agree with David. What attracted me to your site was primarily your conversations with #1GF! and your writing. I do like Life of Riley because it’s personal and it’s neat to see what’s going on in your life.

I did get addicted to Hotcorn and Word Lasso thanks to your site though. And Finetune Fridays is entertaining to me also (now that I have time to patch together playlists while BD sleeps).

I agree with Kirsten pretty much.

I don’t play many games - and can’t get to MOST game sites from work (who would do such a thing?!?), so I don’t care too much for the web game posts.

I also don’t use WordPress, so I don’t find those types of posts very interesting, but considering the huge population that DOES use WordPress, I deal with it.

Maybe it’s just plain noseyness, but I honestly enjoy your Life of Riley posts just about as much as anything else. It’s interesting getting a glimpse at how other geeks spend their time.

I enjoy the posts about regular-type games that I’ve never heard of or played (Kubb, Hobin’s Dice, etc) And the fact that you take the time to explain each one in enough detail that you can pretty much print your post and use that as the instruction manual (and in the case of Kubb, the blueprints to building your own set)

I really like the mix you have now. Just like every blog, there are some posts I like more than others. On yours, I like the personal and music ones best. I’m not a gamer, so games don’t thrill me, and as a sci-fi averse female, I am probably the only person who read the StormTrooper posts and didn’t go gaga over them.

You already have a Top Posts feature, so use that as a guide in addition to any other comments you might get to this.
