Netflix On Demand Additions
By my calculations, there are currently over 2850 movies that can be streamed to your PC through the Netflix On Demand Service. Here are the weekly additions to (and deletions from) the service using data gathered from the last three weeks.
When checking them this week, I noticed a possible error with the service. When you click “Browse All By Title”, it seems that you’re not really browsing all of the on-demand movies. For some reason, a number of movies (”Beef” for example) are available, but do not appear on the list. They can be watched if you seek them out individually, so it makes no sense why they wouldn’t appear on the master list. It makes no sense.
I don’t know what would prompt the removal of The Johnny Cash Anthology in favor of Murder She Wrote Season 4, but it seems like there weren’t a whole lot of good additions this round. The only movies of note are The Devil’s Brigade, Heart And Souls, Mean Girls, and The Poseidon Adventure (All are marked with a *). The only movie that I really can recommend is Mean Girls and that just feels a little wrong.

I hate to admit it. But I was home over the Thanksgiving holiday and watch Mean Girls with my sister. I actually laughed out loud a bunch of times. I make no apologies.

I’ve always thought Heart and Souls was a pretty decent movie. A bit hokey, but c’mon it has Robert Downey Jr. in it!
And I’m with you on Mean Girls - it feels so wrong, but the movie WASN’T THAT BAD! It was before Lindsay Lohan hit rock bottom and was sorta cute, plus it has Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert in it — both of whom are pretty cute as well. I guess if you’re a GIRL that wants to watch it, well.. you can probably relate to the movie better than us guys.

Agreed. I thought it was a less dark version of Heathers. I didn’t want to like it, but I did. My beard is ashamed of me, but hey. What can you do?

I shouldn’t share smug musings on how a little aptitude with Chinese makes Netflix redundant … wouldn’t want my internet access cut!
