I think QOTSA lots a grat deal of its driving force after Nick got kicked out. Admittedly, I have not listen to Lullabies since I first bought it.

Oh, I agree. I bestow the hardcore as an honorable badge to them to keep them out of the Goth or Punk buckets. I just don’t feel right saying that their the same as the Exploited, Sex Pistols, Fear, and the Dead Kennedy’s. Or sticking them in with the Sisters of Mercy. I can however throw them in with Minor Threat and not feel badly at all.

I think it’s the same type of honor that Motorhead gets from the punk kids.

Usually I wouldn’t be so picky, but it’s a stretch to call the Misfits hardcore. Goth-punk, pop-punk, plain-punk? Sure. But it’s not quite hardcore.

It is however a fine fucking album.
