Toys R’ Us – South Bay Closing
The Toys R’ Us store in South Bay (Dorchester) is closing because the company is getting slaughtered by Wal-Mart. They are currently offering 30-50% off of all stock. I went in this weekend, and they have a LOT of stuff. They had video games at 30%, games at 30%, and about a hundred Darth Vader voice-changing helmets at 30%… I really wanted to buy 5 for my next staff meeting, so that when the boss walked into the room we could all just sit there breathing “Kssshhhhh FFaaaawww. Kssshhhhh FFaaaawww.”
In my head, it’s especially surreal when combined with business attire.

fuck walmart. i went into walmart the other day b/c i had a gift card. i felt guilty for stepping foot into that place. i hadn’t been in one for YEARS. sure, walmart has low prices so that folks with small incomes can afford stuff. don’t get me started on why folks have no money… but walmart is also the reason why all the mom and pop stores are going out of business. what ever happened to buying local? money that goes into walmart does not stay in the area and help the local economy. it is immediately transfered to arkansas or wherever the hell walmart is based. screw them. save your souls and avoid walmart. they could give a shit about you and your community. sorry for the rant, but it had to be said.
