More Cowbell! The Compilation

I’m working on the cowbell CD requested by my sister, and it’s turning out to be a major project. How does one find songs with cowbell in them without listening to a TON of CD’s? You could use the list that Buzzy linked to, but you’ll find that it’s chock full of inaccuracies (i.e no cowbell and songs that contain a single cowbell ding per verse). And because you’re a freak, you’ll have to dive into the racks and spend all damn day just trying to figure out what you have.

So far, I’ve gone through hundreds of CD’s, and compiled a fair number of songs. There’s probably more cowbell hidden in that rack, but at this point I refuse to go in after it. I tried to steer clear of classic rock, so it’s turning out to be a very unexpected cowbell compilation.

If I don’t pare down the 45 songs, it will probably will end up being a CD set, which anyone who has sent me a CD so far is welcome to, if they are so inclined.

Beware though: Most of the traditional cowbell classics that you expect were omitted for 3 reasons: 1. I don’t own them, 2. fringe choices impress other music freaks more than the mainstream choices, and 3. I’m trying to impress my sister, who is impressed with creativity. And Mountain just ain’t creative.
