LAN Parties? F That.
Ok, there was a point in my life where if you asked me to pack up my PC and bring it to a LAN party I would have laughed in your face. There are levels of geek, and packing up the PC is a new level. Yea, I dabble in X10 programming, and rewrote an interface to allow the old PC to interact with a remote control, but a LAN party? Not this kid.
That was then…this is now. I’ve hit that level, and actually reserve one of my PC’s to be packed up on a weekly basis for a little gaming. The game is Counter-Strike, and it’s a helluva lot of fun. I don’t know if it’s that bad, though. The gaming is mixed gender, and no one wears a cape or Star Trek ears. Although, I am fast approaching 30, and gaming and blogs seem to be younger man’s activities.
Why must Bowltastic deprive us all of the pleasure of taunting and killing each other this week? Ever since he heard that Ca and Rich were getting the claw, he seems skittish, fearful even…
Or maybe he just has stuff to do. Maybe I should attack that list of 50 things that I need to get done. Maybe.
